Biotin or Vitamin B, formerly known as vitamin H or coenzyme R, is often raved about as a cure-all for brittle nails and thinning hair. Due to the vitamin’s ability to stimulate new cells, boosting hair and nail growth, it remains a regularly buzzed-about beauty solution today. According to experts, Biotin is needed to enable the body to metabolize the protein known as keratin and fatty acids, which are essential elements in hair growth. A recent Harvard study established biotin as one of the essential nutrients for preserving hair strength, texture and appearance.

Biotin is a crucial component of skin cells.

Healthy skin cells play a major role in the health of hair follicles among other roles. Weak or unhealthy hair follicles result in the inability to retain hair, which leads to hair loss. Over time, follicles get weaker and hair loss increases. Additionally, the follicles’ ability to regrow and retain new hair diminishes this can result to some form of baldness or related issues.

Both biotin and other vitamins have been shown to have a tremendous positive effect on hair loss prevention and regrowth efforts. This is why we have incorporated other powerful B vitamins and antioxidants into this Biotin complex and the result is a powerful combination that can really help with hair loss and thinning. Astaxanthin reduces inflammation on the scalp

Astaxanthin is an antioxidant and red carotenoid pigment found in algae, salmon, lobster and shrimp which gives them their pink hue. This powerful antioxidant provides many health benefits including improved skin elasticity, reduced skin damage, reduced inflammation, boosts the immune system when internally ingested (please note that this serum is for external/topical application only).

Astaxanthin’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce inflammation on the scalp caused by chemicals and free radicals which may be inhibiting hair growth. Moreover, Astaxanthin has been shown to reduce levels of DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone that is the main culprit of hair loss conditions such as male and female pattern baldness.


Miliacin is a natural hair loss solution that is extracted from millet. the power of miliacin, a rare triterpenoid compound found in millet has been harnessed for generations and is no doubt gaining popularity in the cosmetics world. Researchers have shown that hair loss in women may be related to lower levels of IGF1- a growth factor that promotes cell multiplication and regulates the hair cycle.

Miliacin significantly increases the excretion of IGF1, which results in increased cell proliferation in the hair follicles- causing improved growth and less hair loss.

Research suggests that Miliacin reduces hair loss, promotes hair density, and leaves hair healthier and shinier overall.


Ceramides

There are three types of oils found in hair cuticles. One of those oils is ceramide. The other two are Methyl Eicosanoic Acid (MEA) and cholesterol. Ceramides act as the cement to the hair cuticles. The main role of ceramide is to keep the hair intact and the hair follicles flattened while nourishing the hair to look better and stronger. Through constant chemical processes, harsh environmental conditions, regular washing and other hair manipulating activities, significant amounts of ceramides become depleted from the hair cuticles.

Usage Recommendations:

Apply drops onto your scalp using a dropper or applicator cap and massage your scalp gently in circular motion until evenly distributed and absorbed. You can also mix in a few drops with your regular hair cream, butter or lotion and apply to both scalp and hair daily or as regularly as desired.
